Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival 2024
Hooray! A jam-packed blog with new names, the schedule, and much more goodness.
Immediately to the important part: we are incredibly happy (and proud and excited) to announce that the Henhouse Prowlers are returning to our festival. Following a brilliant show in the pavilion at Pijnackerplein in 2022, these American virtuosos will now play among the trees at Noordplein! Additionally, Zwolle's star, Bertolf, is bringing a bunch of friends for his special bluegrass revue!
Our programmers have been busy and have managed to secure a beautiful list of new names ✨

Among the seven new additions to the program are the Blue Grass Boogiemen from Utrecht. The most famous bluegrass band in the Netherlands is the only act allowed to return each year, and they too are bringing a special guest musician. The identity of this guest will be revealed later.
In addition, the Leadbeaters from Amsterdam will provide uplifting old-time and bluegrass, Angry Zeta & The Hillbullys will bring folk-punk with Argentine temperament, Henhouse Prowlers will push the boundaries of bluegrass, the Belgian sextet A Murder In Mississippi will offer a mix of original country, folk, blues, and contemporary Americana, Sem Jansen & Leif de Leeuw will create a delightful living room atmosphere in an acoustic duo setting, and Them Peckin’ Boys are the winners of the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival talent competition 2023.
Bertolf & Friends
Bertolf's friends are announced! For his special show at the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, the Zwolle singer is bringing an all-star team including Rob Dekay, Tangarine, Douwe Bob, Stephanie Struijk, and Maurice van Hoek. Bertolf shares his excitement about this special revue: "Interestingly, many of my musical friends, like me, are bluegrass fans. When Festival Director Guido de Groot gave me the opportunity to come up with something special for this edition of the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, I thought it would be great to bring all these people together on one stage during the Bertolf & Friends Bluegrass Revue." This unique show promises to be one of the festival's many highlights!
TICKETS
Day tickets for the festival are now available! So, grab your tickets now and secure yourself and your friends one, two, or even three days of bluegrass bliss. Day tickets: €15 (available now) Weekend passes: €40 Children up to 14 years old still have free admission!
