You participate in one preliminary round; Please indicate a preferred date when registering.

• preliminary round 1: Sunday, June 16, 2024 (13:00-17:00 followed by Bluegrass JAM!)
• preliminary round 2: Sunday, June 23, 2024 (13:00-17:00 followed by Bluegrass JAM!)
• Grand Finale: Friday afternoon, June 28, 2024 during the RBF.

What can you win?

• A spot in the festival lineup, performing at the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival on Friday afternoon.
• A day of studio recording at the legendary Bunt bluegrass studio in Utrecht.
• A day of participation in the Rotterdam Bluegrass Camp on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Who is it for?

For aspiring bluegrass, old-time, and Americana musicians, whether you're a soloist or coming with your whole band. While our preference is bluegrass, we're open to exploring blues or other related musical styles of bluegrass. You'll be judged by a professional jury to be announced.

You can register by sending an email to: info@bluegrassfestival.nl with the subject line "Great Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival Talent Contest". Please include your band or artist name, the number of band members, and contact information.

Terms of Participation:

• Participation is free of charge. 
• You must be available on all dates (preliminary rounds, finale, and festival performance).
• Performances are acoustic.
• No backline will be provided, but a microphone will be available.
